Have you ever wanted to make a high quality audio or video recording of your students, congregation or theatre group? This CD or DVD could be used for teaching purposes, enjoyed for posterity, or as a powerful fundraising tool. How does it work?

1. A few weeks prior to the concert we come to your school, church or theatre to meet with you and/or your music department head. We survey the acoustics and environment we’ll be recording in, and answer any questions you might have.

2. Showtime!  We capture your performance.

3. We mix all the material at Thumbprint Studio, for you to review. You decide at this stage which pieces you want on the final CD and/or DVD .

4. We mix and produce the master with your review and supply you with a copy.  For those who want to take advantage of the Fundraiser Package, we ship it to the manufacturer along with any artwork you might have.  Music directors – we suggest you talk to your art department and have the students create the artwork for the final product.

How Do We Sell them?

Here are a few ideas aimed mostly at schools, but church and theatre groups will probably find similar things useful:

1. Announce the release in your newsletter so parents can pre-order them.

2. Ask parents to volunteer time to help sell them at school or church events i.e. concerts, parents’ night, graduation, picnics, etc.

3. Send out flyers to student’s parents and family.

4. Make sure you get as many of the students on the recording as possible.

5. Let parents know that when they buy discs, they are raising money for their school.

6. Let Thumbprint Productions prepare a press release to the local media letting the public know of your new release and how to order a copy.
